A paper checklist can record a check that happened. It does much less to highlight the one that didn’t. When equipment moves between people and sites, the responsibility can become even harder to follow.
Assign an asset to a responsible worker and set its prestart interval in days. Home shows assets needing attention, the responsible person and how long it has been since the last check. Use an interval of zero when no recurring minimum is required.

Tag an asset out with a reason and photo. Choose people to notify and optionally create a work order from the issue, instead of writing the same explanation twice.
Shared equipment without the guesswork
Flag assets as bookable, record who is taking them and when they should return, then use check-out and check-in to record the handover.

A tractor, generator or service vehicle may be used on several jobs. Selecting it for a job does not replace its ongoing asset history or make it belong to that job permanently.
When preparing a Safety Torq, choose the equipment being used. JobTorq highlights missing checks for that day, even when the asset’s normal interval is longer. That gives the team a reason to check today’s condition before discussing today’s work.

A few practical
questions.
Can we set different check intervals for different assets?
Yes. Each asset has a minimum interval expressed in days. A value of zero means no recurring minimum is required. A Safety Torq still checks for a prestart on the day the asset is selected.
Do workers have to open the whole asset record?
No. New Prestart and Tag Out let them find an asset through search or its QR code and enter the relevant workflow directly.
Does a passing check automatically clear a tag-out?
No. A later passing check does not silently return a tagged-out asset to service. The issue and return-to-service process remain separate.
